Please feel free to reach out to me in confidence at kaylamoerdlerOT@gmail.com with any questions or concerns so I can confirm that my expertise is well suited for the issues you and your family are facing. Most sessions are done virtually and a link for a virtual meeting will be sent to you for a mutually agreed upon time and date upon completion of initial paperwork. The initial session can run between 1-1.5 hours with follow ups as needed.
Set up - All that is required is that you have a reliable internet as well as a laptop, desktop or smart phone that has a working camera and microphone. Most parents seek out a time and place where they have privacy and feel comfortable. It is always suggested that you test your video call software ahead of time so you don’t have to waste your session troubleshooting technology.
There may be times when you will be emailing me documents in advance of our call. On occasion, and upon request, for families in the local vicinity of the New York area where I am based, I am available to accompany or represent you at school or medical meetings if it would be beneficial.
Payment for services is based on time spent. My base fee for service is $150 per hour pro-rated. This includes time spent face to face, on video calls, doing document review, report write ups as well as meaningful email exchanges and text messaging.
Payment is typically due at the completion of each session by credit card, Venmo or Zelle. Please note that Zelle and Venmo are not considered HIPAA compliant. For families that require multiple sessions, pre pay discounts can be arranged on a case by case basis. Additionally, OT is a covered service as per the IRS guidelines for potential reimbursement if you have a Flexible Spending Account or Health Savings Account.
